Welcome to Casablanca Rentals, dba The SoCal Escape! Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully, as they govern your booking and stay at our properties in Big Bear Lake and San Diego, CA. By booking with us, you agree to comply with these terms.

1. Booking Confirmation and Payment

Minimum Age: The minimum age for the primary guest booking and checking in to any property is 18 years old. The primary guest must be present for the entire duration of the stay.
Pricing: All prices are subject to change until the booking is confirmed. Prices include all mandatory cleaning fees, local taxes, and processing fees as itemized on your final booking confirmation. We do not charge hidden fees.
Payment: A deposit (as specified on the booking page) is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is typically due a specified number of days prior to check-in (e.g., 30 days). Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the reservation without a refund of the deposit.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation policies are property-specific and will be clearly stated on the booking platform (e.g., VRBO, direct site).
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances that may lead to cancellation.
No-shows or early departures are non-refundable.

3. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in Time: Check-in is after 4:00 PM (PST).
Check-out Time: Check-out is strictly before 10:00 AM (PST).
Late check-outs are subject to penalty fees unless pre-approved by the management.

4. Guest Responsibilities and House Rules

Occupancy Limits: The maximum occupancy for each property is strictly enforced (e.g., Big Bear cabin: 7 guests). Exceeding the stated occupancy limit is grounds for immediate eviction without refund.
Quiet Hours: Guests must adhere to local quiet hours (typically 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM) to respect neighbors.
No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all properties. Violations will result in a minimum penalty fine (e.g., $250) to cover deep cleaning.
No Events/Parties: Onsite parties, large gatherings, or events are strictly prohibited.
Pet Policy: Where pets are permitted (e.g., the Big Bear Cabin), there is a limit (e.g., 2 pets, under 50 lbs each). Pets must never be left unattended at the property. All pet rules must be followed, or a fee will be assessed.
Hot Tub Use: Guests use the hot tub at their own risk. Children must be supervised at all times. Guests are responsible for adhering to posted hot tub instructions (e.g., turning temperature down to 95°F upon departure).

5. Damage and Security Deposit

Guests are responsible for any damage, loss, or theft that occurs during their stay.
A refundable security deposit may be required prior to arrival. Any damages, excessive cleaning needs, or violation of house rules (including smoking or hot tub misuse) will result in deductions from this deposit.

6. Check-out Procedures

Guests are required to complete simple check-out procedures before leaving, including:

Removing all personal items and leftover food/drinks.
Washing and putting away all dishes.
Taking out all trash (for Big Bear, trash must be taken to the designated disposal site). A fine may be charged for trash left outside or inside the property.
Turning off lights and locking all doors and windows.
Adjusting the heat/AC settings as instructed.

7. Liability

Casablanca SoCal Escape Rentals is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities. We are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises.
